How Urochordates differs from Chordates?
Answer:
Urochordates differ from other Chordates owing to the following characters:
1. Presence of retrogressive metamorphosis.
2. Absence of segmentation.
3. Because of these characters zoologists included these animals in a separate sub - phylum Urochordata.
4. During recent years many zoologists regarded the tunicates as primitive and ancestral forms of chordates as a whole.
